Universal is the only independent, global leaf supplier with significant operations in Europe. This region consists of processing facilities and sales offices in Italy, Spain, Hungary, Poland and the Netherlands.
Through our various subsidiaries, we are able to buy, process, and sell unmanufactured tobacco throughout the European Union. In addition to green leaf threshing, Universal offers many specialized services and value-added capabilities to meet our customers’ broad spectrum of tastes and needs. All aspects of these value-added services are all certified according to ISO 9001 standards.
Our facility in the Netherlands is expert in the use of reconstituted tobacco for the production of filler, binder, wrapper, one-leaf and tipping paper.
